Top 10 from the Sun & Moon Era

In this top 10 list, we present the top 10 most expensive Pokemon cards from the Sun & Moon era. There were definitely some valuable Pokemon cards in this era, but which cards do you think made it into our top 10?

In our ranking, we include cards in both English & German languages.

Our Top 10

Rank 10

The top 10 begins with the beautiful Rayquaza GX Rainbow Rare card from the set Celestial Storm. The legendary Dragon Pokemon is one of the most popular Pokemon in the franchise. The card starts at approx. 140€ onwards.

Folipurba VMAX AA

Rank 9 of our top 10 goes to a Trainer card, specifically Zinnia Full Art from the set Celestial Storm. The card fetches around 150€.

Glaziola VMAX AA

Rank 8

Rank 8 goes to the Magikarp & Wailord GX Tag Team card from the set Team Up. Magikarp is also an absolute fan favorite and is staged particularly unusually in this artwork with the whale Pokemon Wailord. The card is currently available for approx. 160€.

Gengar VMAX AA

Rank 7

Rank 7 on our top 10 goes to the Rainbow Rare GX card of the legendary Pokemon Lugia. The card is available in the set Lost Thunder and currently costs approx. 170€.

Sixth place on our top 10 list is occupied by another Tag Team GX card. This time by Reshiram & Charizard GX Rainbow Rare. The card is currently valued at around 180€.

Glurak V AA

Rank 5

Rank number 5 goes to Gardevoir & Sylveon GX Tag Team from the set Unbroken Bonds. It is currently at approx. 200€. No wonder, because this card simply looks incredible.

Lugia V AA

Rank 4

Just missing the podium, but still in a very strong 4th place on our top 10 list, is Lillie Full Art from the set Ultra Prism. It currently costs around 210€ and it might be surprising to some that this card is relatively high up, but that's just how it is. Some Trainer cards are extremely popular.

Psiana V AA

Rank 3

Bronze goes to Shiny Charizard GX from the set Hidden Fates, currently you can buy it for around 330€. An incredibly beautiful card, but also really valuable.

Rayquaza VMAX AA

Rank 2

Rank 2 goes to Rainbow Rare Charizard GX from Burning Shadows. The card goes for approx. 350€.

Giratina V AA

Rank 1

The winner of our top 10 list is clear: Latias & Latios GX from Team Up wins this top 10 by a long shot. This card is not only magnificently done and iconically illustrated, but also incredibly valuable. Currently, this card alone goes for around 400€ over the counter. Truly unbelievable.

Nachtara VMAX AA

Conclusion

So that was it, our top 10 most expensive Pokemon cards from the Sun & Moon era.

Personally, we didn't think that so many Tag Team GX cards would be represented here. For example, we firmly expected more Rainbow Rare cards, which were introduced in that era. The Magikarp & Wailord also specifically surprised us. Nevertheless, there are exclusively magnificent cards represented here, all of which would look great in any collection. We are definitely super satisfied and think that the Sun & Moon era definitely had a lot to offer.
